4.6.16. Check and adjustment of position of camshafts

Verification of the provision of camshafts

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the piston of the first cylinder.
2. The piston of the first cylinder is in the provision of VMT when cams of inlet and final camshafts of the right head of the block of cylinders do not press the provision of VMT of the cylinder hydrocompensators of pervog.
3. Insert cores with a diameter of 4 mm into openings of asterisks of camshafts (arrow) of the right and left heads of the block of cylinders. If cores do not pass in openings, it is necessary to make adjustment of position of camshafts.

Adjustment of position of camshafts

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the piston of the first cylinder in situation 30 ° after VMT.
2. Remove a natyazhitel of a chain (see the Section Natyazhitel GRM drive chains).
3. Turn off an asterisk of the right final camshaft (5) and remove it. Remove the top right and left directing levers (4).
4. Turn a bent shaft a key so that 4 mm of an opening on flanges of camshafts were combined. Lift a GRM drive chain from asterisks. Check openings by means of cores (1).
5. Turn a bent shaft back in the opposite direction in the provision of VMT.
6. Turn the left final camshaft (10) on a half-tooth in the direction of rotation from control situation with the help of a key (25).
7. Establish a chain on an asterisk of the final camshaft (3) and rotate the final camshaft back, in control situation (the chain is tense).
8. Turn the left inlet camshaft (9) on a half-tooth in the direction of rotation from control situation with the help of a key (25).
9. Turn the camshaft regulator by hand in the direction of rotation in the provision of "late opening".
10. Establish a chain on an asterisk of the inlet camshaft (13).
11. Install the directing lever (6).
12. Turn the inlet camshaft (9) back in a direction opposite to rotation in control situation (the chain is tense).
13. Turn the right inlet camshaft (9) on a half-tooth in the direction of rotation from control situation with the help of a key (25).
14. Turn the camshaft regulator by hand in the direction of rotation in the provision of "late opening".
15. Install the directing lever (4).
16. Turn the inlet camshaft (9) back in a direction opposite to rotation in control situation (the chain is tense).
17. Establish an asterisk of the final camshaft (5) and tighten it.

18. Establish a natyazhitel of a chain of the GRM drive.
19. Tighten bolts of fastening of an asterisk of the final camshaft.
20. 3 Check control position of camshafts.
