8.6.6. Removal and installation of shaft of the transmission

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Unscrew the lever of inclusion of the 2/3rd of transfers.
2. Turn off a shaft (103) of the 2/3rd of transfers and remove the inclusion lever from the transmission (120).

3. Unhook a spring (109), take an intermediate shaft (110) and remove the conducted shaft (140) from the transmission.

4. Unscrew the lever of inclusion of the 4/5th of transfers (117).
5. Turn off a shaft (103) of the 4/5th of transfers and remove the inclusion lever from the transmission.

6. Remove the lever (5), a fork (6) and the coupling (15) of the 4/5th of transfers from the leading shaft.
7. Remove an intermediate shaft (40) from the transmission. Check absence of damage and wear on an intermediate shaft.

8. Turn off a nut (111) with a washer (111a) and remove a finger (106) with the blocking lever (107), the plug (108), a lamellar spring (109) and laying (110).

9. Remove a frictional ring (126) and the needle bearing (125) from the leading shaft (2).

10. Turn off a forward cover of the transmission (92).
11. Remove the leading shaft (2) with the ball bearing (43) and laying (43a) forward.
12. Take an external holder of the bearing (97) by means of a drift.

Adjustment of an axial gap

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the leading shaft (2) with the ball bearing (43) and laying (43a) in the transmission case by means of a drift.

2. Establish an intermediate shaft, the conducted shaft, an intermediate plate, back and forward covers of the transmission. After installation of the leading shaft, fix a forward cover of the transmission (92b) by two bolts (arrow) so that the leading shaft did not drop out of the transmission case at installation of the conducted shaft.

3. Establish an axial gap of the leading shaft (2) within 0-0.1 mm. For this purpose measure distance from edge of a groove of the bearing (43) to the interfaced surface of the transmission by means of a caliper.

4. Measure distance from the interfaced surface of a forward cover (92) to (4) flat surfaces (arrow) of the case of the bearing. The shortest distance needs to be taken for measurement. If to tighten the case of the bearing to a forward cover, measure depth from the interfaced surface to a flute. Calculate the required thickness of washers: Depth (7.00 mm) - the Gap (6.50 mm) = the Difference (0.50 mm) = the washer Thickness (0.50 mm). Washers 0.2, 0.3, 0.5 mm thick are issued.

5. Establish an axial gap of an intermediate shaft within 0-0.05 mm. For this purpose, measure groove depth from the interfaced surface of a forward cover of the transmission (92).

6. Take an external holder (97) bearings of an intermediate shaft by means of a drift, rotating a shaft so that the conic roller bearing was installed correctly.
7. Measure distance from an edge of an external holder (97) to the interfaced surface of the transmission (see сопр. illustration). Determine thickness of laying: Depth (2.47 mm) - the Gap (2.21 mm) = the Difference (0.26 mm) - the Gap (0.05 mm) = the laying Thickness (0.21 mm). Laying 0.2, 0.22, 0.25, 0.27, 0.3, 0.32, 0.35, 0.37 and 0.5 mm thick is issued.
8. Establish laying (94) and (96) in a forward cover of the transmission (92) and fix them by lubricant (see an illustration 19.10).
9. Grease the interfaced surfaces of a forward cover with sealant 002 989 00 20 (Loctite 573) and establish a cover (92) on the leading shaft. Remove lubricant from a head of bolts and grease them with sealant 001 989 25 20 (Hylomar).
