1. Disconnect branch pipes (4), (5) and (6).
2. Turn off a cover (2) with an eye (1). Replace laying (2a).
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of the pump (3).
4. Wipe sealing surfaces. Replace laying (3a).
5. Remove the pump (3). |

| 1. Weaken bolts of fastening of a pulley of the coupling of the fan (21) and a pulley of the pump of the cooling system (23). |
|
| 2. Take off a generator drive belt. |
3. Turn off a pulley of the coupling of the fan (21) and a pulley of the pump of the cooling system (23).
4. Shoot the directing video (25) from a forward right cover. |
|
| 5. Disconnect a cooling system branch pipe from the cooling system pump from below. |
6. Turn off bolts of fastening of the pump (26) and remove it.

|
1. Empty the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance).
2. Remove a radiator (see the Section Removal and installation of a radiator of the cooling system - an installation detail).
3. Remove the fan coupling.
4. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
5. Weaken bolts (2) fastenings of an asterisk of the pump.
6. Take off a generator drive belt.
7. Turn off a pulley of the pump (5).
8. Disconnect branch pipes (3) and (4) from the pump.
9. Remove the generator (15).
10. Remove a support of the generator (16).
11. Remove a pump housing (11) together with the pump.
12. Replace laying (14). Wipe sealing surfaces.
13. Unscrew the pump (6).
14. Replace laying (10). |

1. Merge cooling liquid.
2. Remove the fan coupling.
3. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley (5) of the pump of the cooling system.
4. Take off a generator drive belt.
5. Remove a pulley (5) of the pump of the cooling system.
6. Install the piston of the first cylinder in the provision of VMT.
7. Turn off an arm of fastening of the BMT (17) sensor.
8. Check installation of the VMT sensor and, if necessary, adjust it.
9. Turn off bolts of fastening of the pump of the cooling system (6) to a pump housing (11). |

Installation
Petrol models with series 119.97/98 engines
Installation is made as it should be, the return to removal.

1. Wipe sealing surfaces.
2. Replace laying of the pump.
3. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to removal. Check the cooling system for lack of leaks.

Diesel models with engines of the OM603.971 series
Installation is carried out as it should be, the return to removal.
Diesel models with engines of the OM606.961 series
Installation is carried out as it should be, the return to removal. Replace laying (10) and wipe sealing surfaces.
